ipo_2009_dublinThe Poker world heads to Dublin this weekend for the 2009 IPO International (not Irish) Poker Open. The event is being held at the Regency Hotel this Fri/Sat/Sun (16th/17th/18th October).

Last year saw 1,300 players, entrants from 17 countries take part in the tournament. Irishman Ruairi Coy topped a record field to take home the first prize of €37,530.
The current prize pool for the 2009 tournament according to Boylepoker.com is $339,325 compared to last years prize pool of €205,000.

We’re still waiting for a list of confirmed players, but there are sure to be a few big names and surprises this weekend in Dublin.
