Zimbler Breaks World Record for Longest Poker Session

26 September 2009 One Comment

wsope_headsupBrit Poker Pro Paul Zimbler (The Marbella Kid) and boyfriend of the gorgeous Lacey Jones (pictured) broke the World record for the longest ever session of continuous heads up poker yesterday at the 2009 WSOPE event in London.

Beating the existing record of 74 hours by 21 minute 21 seconds. Zimbler’s charity endurance challenge began on the 21st September at 1pm and finally concluded three days later on the 24th, during which time he faced around 200 opponents, kicking off with ten-times World Series champion Doyle Brunson.

Going on to compete against the likes of Annette Obrestad, John Tabatabai and poker brat Phil Helmuth, Zimbler finished off his spectacular run by sharing the table with Mike Mattusow.

After the record breaking event Zimbler was last seen being “partially carried” towards his hotel room. Here is some footage of the last few moments of the record breaking attempt. Poor guy, he looks a bit tired!
